Citrus makes me happy! When the early days of January are a little cloudy and grey, there’s nothing like a bright, juicy tangerine martini to lift a girls spirits! My husband and I like to experiment with new drink combos and winter is prime time for citrus.
We rummaged through the liquor cabinet to see what would work with the tangerines we had on hand and had such a great time creating this. The process is a large part of the fun in any creation. We start with a base flavor and add a little of this and a little of that and taste. Then comes the tweaking part and if we don’t write down our ingredients on post it notes then we are doomed. As you an imagine the tasting does wear down the ability to remember, which is part of the fun too! Lots of laughing, post it notes all over the kitchen, we have a new cocktail that puts a sunny smile on our faces. Yes, we are glowing by now…..who cares if it is grey outside, it’s warm and cheery inside!
