We’re having a heat wave, a tropical heat wave! Living in southern California we are used to the Santa Ana winds picking up and making the temperatures spike but this week has been in the high 90’s and the wind has been ferocious! I really needed something to cool things off and this iced tea sounded like just the ticket. With the green tea, mint and honey, it’s down right healthy!
Ingredients:
1/2 cup(s) fresh mint leaves
3 green tea bags
2 tablespoon(s) honey
4 cup(s) boiling water
2 cup(s) sake, divided
4 stalk(s) lemongrass, for garnish
Directions:
Combine mint leaves, tea bags, honey, and boiling water. Let steep for 5 minutes; remove tea bags. Refrigerate until chilled.
Divide among 4 large ice-filled glasses. Add 1/2 cup sake to each glass. Garnish with a stalk of lemongrass.
