Blue Hawaii ~ Friday’s 5 o’clock Wet Your Whistle Call!

Blue Hawaii

Need a Hawaiian vacation or just want to create that relaxed tropical feeling at home? I’ve got the drink and the music to get you in the mood. Whip out that old Elvis CD of Blue Hawaii, light a few tiki torches and mix up this beautiful cocktail. Aloha!

The Original Blue Hawaii was invented in 1957 by Harry Yee, a bartender at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Resort and Spa. He was asked by a representative of Bols to create a new drink using the company’s new Blue Curacao liqueur and the Blue Hawaii was born. There are numerous variations of this recipe, many using Creme de Coconut, but that would make it a Blue Hawaiian.
