Hark! Thy holiday cocoa is here! Up on the roof top, down through the chimney and all around the Christmas tree. Whew! Holiday decorating is a lot of work! Doesn’t your Santa deserve a special cocoa for getting up on the ladder, stringing the lights in all those hard to reach, sometimes life threatening, places? I know mine does!
We have a favorite Sipping Chocolate at our house that’s also great for an afternoon pick me up, without the booze. It’s a grown-up hot chocolate we get at Trader Joe’s. Don’t you just love that place!?
From the minute you lift the mug up to your face, the hint of orange from the whipped cream fills your senses. The aroma under the nose is incredible! If that wasn’t heavenly enough, the cocoa laced with Tuaca and Baileys is really like dessert! The flavors are so deep and rich that it really does invite you to savor every sip!
Ho Ho Cocoa
1 oz. Baileys Irish Cream
1 oz. Tuaca
3 tablespoons Sipping Chocolate
1 cup milk
1/4 cup whipping cream
1/2 teaspoon Orange Zest
Instructions:
Whip the cream and add the orange zest to it.
Make the cocoa.
Add Bailey’s Irish Cream and Tuaca to hot cocoa in a festive mug. Top with the orange whipped cream. Excellent for an after dinner “dessert” cocktail too!
