I’m in the mood for love….and the key to a romantic Valentine’s dinner is without a doubt, hearts and flowers! The theme is romance and a great place to start is with heart-shaped tableware, heart-patterned tablecloth or napkins, or glasses with hearts on them. Continue reading
SDSU A Walk Down Memory Lane
It was like a time warp….how could our Alma mater have changed so much and we had not…..or had we? My long time friend and college roommate Kathy and I took a walk down memory lane and visited the campus of San Diego State University, the scene of our “higher learning”. We learned about life, we learned about boys and more than anything we learned amazing things about ourselves. This was the beginning of knowing what we were capable of doing and bringing to the world.

Adventures in Cuisine! – Dad’s Mushroom Chicken Dinner
Yes, it’s National Soup Month but your soup doesn’t have to be in a bowl. One of the most versatile soups comes from a company that has been around for over 140 years. Campbell’s Soup and their Cream of Mushroom Soup. This brings back wonderful childhood memories of one of my favorite comfort foods that Mom used to make. Now Dad has jumped into the kitchen in what he calls “Adventures in Cuisine!” and perfected this favorite dish. It’s all in the technique! Simple yet so satisfying. Mom would be proud of him. I sure am!
A Spring Day in January
Today was one of those warm days we have in January in Southern California and it was beautiful! We spent the afternoon down by the pool playing cards and relaxing. It was just one of those days that you don’t want to end. I love day light savings time because it feels like you get more time in a day and today finally felt like it would be here sooner than later. Possibly just wishful thinking but it felt good to think this way.
