What’s not to love about hanging out at Williams Sonoma? Everything is so shiny and colorful and the place just smells great all the time! I decided I really needed a little bonding time in the kitchen with fellow foodies and trotted myself over to Williams Sonoma for a technique class last Sunday morning. Cashews, the Crazy Nut!
Cashews are my favorite nut….outside of my family that is! When the “top nut”, my Dad, sent me an article on cashews I about fell over. Did you know they aren’t really a nut? I sure didn’t! They are the kidney shaped nub that grows at the end of the “cashew apple” so they are a member of the fruit family. My love of what will always be a nut to me began a long time ago. Continue reading
Modesto, CA, My Hometown!

Take the Labor Out of Labor Day!
Do you remember why we get Labor Day off from work? It really was more of a protest than a parade in the beginning! Labor Day was first celebrated in September of 1894 as a way to appease the labor unions and workers after the Pullman Railway Strike. Continue reading
